Pokemon GO Catching Wonders Masterwork Research tasks & rewards
The Master Ball is back in Pokemon GO! If you want another chance to unlock this rare item, you're going to have to complete the new Catching Wonders Masterwork Research quest.
Whether you've already caught a Galarian Legendary Bird in a Master Ball or you've never owned one before, it's always worth adding these rare Poke Balls to your collection, as they'll guarantee you can catch a single Pokemon without the risk of it running away.

Completion rewards: 5000 XP, 5000 Stardust and a Master Ball
Keep in mind that this is a Masterwork Research quest, which means it's designed to be completed over a long period of time. Once you've claimed the quest, it won't expire, so you've got all the time you need to finish it.
I'd recommend treating this quest as something you chip away at in the background during everyday play rather than burning yourself out trying to complete it as soon as possible.

How to get the Catching Wonders Masterwork Research
You can unlock the Catching Wonders Masterwork Research quest by logging into Pokemon GO at any point between May 14, 2024, at 10AM local time and May 19, 2024, at 8PM local time.
This quest is free for all Trainers to claim, so you don't need to pay for it like the previous ticketed Special Research: Master Ball quest. It's also not time-limited like the previous Timed Investigation: Master Ball.
When you eventually do unlock your Master Ball, make sure you save it for something worthwhile. Most Trainers reserve them for any Galarian Legendary Bird encounters, as they're incredibly hard to catch.
