Anime crossovers we want to see in Fortnite
Anime crossovers into games haven't really worked so far.
Sure, Fortnite brought the cast of Naruto onto the battle bus in a pretty big way with a wealth of skins, emotes and assorted other goodies in a way that kept fans happy, hanging onto their art style in an effort to remain faithful - and the same can't really be said for the other crossovers of the gaming world.
Warzone and Vanguard's Attack on Titan skins were absolutely blasted upon reveal, with the Levi skin not looking a thing like the original character, and the Titan skin simply looking like some naked dude bolting around 1940's Berlin gunning Nazis. It wasn't a good look in more ways than one - but there's still hope that anime can make it to the mainstream through Fortnite.
A new "Anime Legends" pack has been found in the code of Fortnite, and now it's got fans thinking - who could be coming in the pack? And who deserves to make it to the island as a true Anime Legend? Here's our picks for the anime characters we want to see dropping next.
Goku - Dragon Ball Z

Goku is the face of anime, probably beating out Pokemon's Ash Ketchum as the most popular leading man in an animated series - so who really stands as a better candidate for the moniker of "anime legend"?
Dragon Ball Z's Saiyan frontman is the exemplary anime hero, and Kakarot's addition would make for some fun, fancy cloud gliders and Kamehameha emotes too. Plus a sprinkling of Vegeta wouldn't go amiss, either.
Eren Yeager - Attack On Titan
Click to enlargeAs the much-adored anime gears up to come to a dramatic close, it would only be fair for Attack on Titan to get another crack at the video game world after Call of Duty absolutely whiffed it.
Eren Yeager's arrival would make for a great crossover, and as the Warzone packs couldn't bring the show's actual main character into the game, that's where Fortnite can take advantage. Plus, there's room for some great harvesting tools to come with the skin, too.
Tanjiro Kamado & Hashibira Inosuke - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Click to enlargeDemon Slayer's success has been massive, and in only two seasons and one film, has become one of the absolute frontrunners of anime fan's recommendations - and for good reason. The series has a huge wealth of characters that'd suit Fortnite perfectly, but it's probably Tanjiro and Inosuke who'd adapt the best.
Tanjiro's our beloved hero, and it'd be hard to resist the design of Inosuke - plus, the chance to carry Nezuko around on Tanjiro's back in a wicker basket is much too good an opportunity to pass up.
Monkey D. Luffy - One Piece
Click to enlargeFew anime series have the lasting legacy and reluctance to finally pack it in as One Piece, and as such, pirate legend Monkey D. Luffy stands as the icon that could represent anime entirely.
The rubbery, slippery Straw Hat would adapt to the shenanigans of the island nicely, and he could come with some nice cosmetics that make his boats look really slick. And maybe his incredibly thin appendages could offer something of a tactical advantage. If pay-to-win makes it to Fortnite at all, it might as well be with Monkey.
Ryuk - Death Note
Click to enlargeThough Light Yagami would probably be the first call for many Death Note fans, there's no denying that a Shinigami skin in the shape of Ryuk would sell like hot cakes.
Even for players who aren't fans of the classic anime, series just look at him. The edgy teens will be all over him, and it'll be poetry to run around the island as a god of death not needing to use his Note (which would make a great back bling, by the way) to take down his foes, blasting them with SMGs instead.
