We've got everything you need to know about the most expensive CS2 skin ever sold, with all of the priciest weapons, knives, gloves, and more in Counter-Strike that often surge beyond the price of a new car - or even a house!

CS2 is an iconic tactical shooter that ballooned in popularity once skins and the community market were added to the game in the mid-2010s. Aside from having the best crosshair codes, you can also have pricey skins to flex during games, and here are some of the most expensive ones.

Here is the most expensive CS2 skin ever

According to csgoskins.gg, the most expensive skin in Counter-Strike 2 right now is the Souvenir Factory New AWP | Dragon Lore, which will set you back around $484,038.55.

This is obviously extraordinarily expensive, featuring a skin float value of 0.03 which is almost as high as you can get.

You could realistically buy a house with this amount, but I would hope that anyone willing to drop $400k on a weapon skin would already have stuff like that sorted.

These are the most expensive skins you can find

Here are all of the most expensive skins currently in CS2, courtesy of csgoskins.gg, spanning weapons, knives, and gloves:

Skin Price
Factory New Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box $61,665.09
Factory New Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze $26,276.46
Factory New Sport Gloves | Vice $17,634.99
Factory New Sport Gloves | Superconductor $13,675.94
StatTrak M4A4 | Howl $12,723.35
Factory New AK-47 | Wild Lotus $11,666.66
Factory New AWP | Gungnir $11,478.67
Souvenir AK-47 Gold Arabesque $7,314.26
StatTrak Butterfly Knife | Lore $5,116.99

Factory New Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box

It's no surprise that the Pandora's Box gloves find themselves at the top of the list, as the purple and black accents look fantastic with pretty much any weapon skin combo.

They are the ultimate item for bragging too, as the Factory New variant is exceedingly rare compared to even the Minimal Wear version.

Factory New Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze

The Hedge Maze gloves are up next, and these bring a very unique neon green colourway to the table which will certainly stand out in your matches. It has just enough colour to pop with every gun, while remaining clean and simple throughout.

Factory New Sport Gloves | Vice

Any fans of a certain Florida-set detective show will definitely have their eyes on these gloves, as the purple and blue combo just oozes style. The Vice colourway is definitely one of my favourites in the game, and one I would pick up if it wasn't one of the most expensive skins!

Factory New Sport Gloves | Superconductor

Rounding off the gloves is Superconductor, which is perhaps the easiest to match with many popular skins in the game. Lots of options either include hints of blue or contrast well with blue like Asiimov or the soon-to-be-mentioned Gungnir - so these gloves are definitely a fantastic option for any stylish inventory.

StatTrak M4A4 | Howl

If you've been playing Counter-Strike for a while the M4A4 Howl skin will definitely be familiar. It would be expensive regardless due to its fantastic design, but it quickly catapulted into ridiculous territory due to being the only gun in the game to be removed and branded 'Contraband'.

This is due to the weapon skin featuring stolen artwork, so Valve decided to remove it from all cases - meaning its rarity is secured forever.

Factory New AK-47 | Wild Lotus

Embrace your horticultural side with the Wild Lotus skin for the ever-present AK-47. Skins for the AK are always super expensive as the gun is used in nearly every single round, so one as stunning as Wild Lotus with its bright flowers is always going to set you back a lot.

Factory New AWP | Gungnir

Released as part of Operation Shattered Web, this Norse-inspired skin became an instant classic in the community. It features a gorgeous blue colourway with stunning Norse markings across the base.

It's also famous due to the high number of pro players that use this skin, so you can emulate players like ZywOo and dev1ce.

Souvenir AK-47 Gold Arabesque

It's literally gold - you can't get much more expensive looking than that!

StatTrak Butterfly Knife | Lore

The popularity of a Dragon Lore Butterfly Knife version was inevitable considering how adored the AWP skin is, but this certainly didn't disappoint. Gold and green go perfectly together here, and the markings on the blade itself push it to the next level.

What about the most expensive weapon stickers?

Weapon stickers are surprisingly more expensive than most skins that you apply them on, and we've got all of the highest-priced options right here:

Sticker Price
Titan (Holo) Katowice 2014 $70,000.00
Reason Gaming (Holo) Katowice 2014 $67,296.86
iBUYPOWER (Holo) Katowice 2014 $65,000.00
Vox Eminor (Holo) Katowice 2014 $37,340.26
Team Dignitas (Holo) Katowice 2014 $28,350.80
Team LDLC.com (Holo) Katowice 2014 $23,600.00
HellRaisers (Holo) Katowice 2014 $10,000.00
Natus Vincere (Holo) Katowice 2014 $9,999.99

The majority of the stickers above are from the EMS One Katowice 2014 Major tournament, and this is because it was the first major to receive a sticker capsule.

Not only do most of the stickers from this capsule sit in the tens of thousands, but the two capsules themselves will set you back at least $20,000 each.

Titan (Holo) Katowice 2014

Perhaps the most iconic sticker in the game, the Katowice Titan Holo is a sign of a status more than anything else at this point. It's the ultimate flex, and proof that you probably have more money than sense.

It also looks fantastic on most guns, giving a blue shine that goes perfectly with the Superconductor gloves and AWP Gungnir.

iBUYPOWER (Holo) Katowice 2014

Iconic for maybe the wrong reasons, the iBUYPOWER holographic sticker from Katowice 2014 is certainly popular.

This has a double boost, as it's valuable both because of the iBP match-fixing scandal and because their logo is very similar to the equally scandalous M4A4 Howl skin.

Reason Gaming (Holo) Katowice 2014

The Reason Gaming option for Katowice holographic stickers is especially nice as it blends an orange and green gradient that looks fantastic in any light.

This is an instance where the holo treatment really brings the sticker to light, as otherwise it's a relatively straightforward orange and red output.

Vox Eminor (Holo) Katowice 2014

The Australian lineup featuring now-legendary commentator SPUNJ gave us an excellent holographic sticker with a vertical gradient. This is great for one of the many orange-themed weapons out there and is straightforward for your placements too.

Team Dignitas (Holo) Katowice 2014

This is definitely a personal favourite of mine, as the eyes of the Dignitas logo roll between orange, red, black, and even pink in some light.

It's also fantastic to have the old and iconic Dignitas logo back in its base form, which the now-revived Digi rebrand calls back to.

Team LDLC.com (Holo) Katowice 2014

The Team LDLC.com holographic sticker from Katowice 2014 is like a kaleidoscope of colours, offering one of the best-looking options from a lighting perspective.

This absolutely shines in Counter-Strike 2 with new lighting upgrades too, so it's definitely one to consider for a refreshed inventory.

Natus Vincere (Holo) Katowice 2014

Na'Vi is one of the most iconic organisations across all of esports, so it's no wonder that this sticker is as expensive and desired as it currently is.

While the org is known for its distinctly yellow branding, this holographic sticker adds a burnt orange tinge to bring the design to life.

HellRaisers (Holo) Katowice 2014

The deep red devil and the flames of the HR logo go perfectly with the shine of a holographic design and are key to why this sticker is so desired.

I'm also a big fan of the purple shine in the HellRaisers text at the bottom too, offering something different compared to the standard flame-embossed version.

What is the highest-ever bid on a CS:GO or CS2 skin?

Image of the Karambit Case Hardened knife in CS2

The highest bid ever made on a CS2 skin occurred in 2021, when a potential buyer made an offer of $1.5 million, or more specifically 1.2 million in Euros, for a Karambit | Case Hardened. To this bid, the owner responded "not interested" and then "1.2 is low".

The reason for a price this high is due to the specific pattern, which many deem to be the most beautiful in the game. While the highest average value for a Case Hardened Karambit will usually be around $2,000, this particular pattern is far more consistently blue, and is also incredibly rare, which is why the price is so high.

Now, we don't know who you need to be to say that over a million dollars is a low offer for a blue knife in a video game, but such is the world we live in.

Hopefully, we will see more weapon skins and knives take advantage of CS2's expansive new lighting system in the future, but your chances of getting your hands on one will likely still be very small.

Why are CS2 skins so expensive?

Skins in CS2 are so expensive because the market is run entirely by the community in an unregulated manner. This means that each skin theoretically has an unlimited price ceiling, and is only limited by how much people actually want to pay for certain items.

Rarity plays a big part in the value of most skins, where older options from cases that aren't in circulation anymore and a banned skin like the M4A4 Howl gain significant value from their scarcity.

There is very much a sense of status when it comes to skins in Counter-Strike, where you can show off your wealth or how much you love the game by having certain skins.

While it might seem shocking to a new player, the possibility of getting a certain skin and turning it into real-life money - sometimes within the thousands - is something very few other games can achieve. On the flip side, it also means that a lot of skins are far more accessible (and cheaper) than they would be in a standardised store system simply because they are so common or not quite as well-liked overall.

That's it for our rundown of the most expensive CS2 skins ever sold. Check out our Counter-Strike homepage for more guides. Otherwise, learn about the CS2 global rating system and the current rank distribution.
