Fortnite’s Rocket Racing set for Neon Lights glow-up
Rocket Racing might have been Fortnite's least-loved new game mode, what with LEGO and Festival having proved to be sensations and Rocket League's fandom putting up a level of resistance, but that doesn't mean Epic Games isn't deviating from its course.
Instead of hitting the brakes on Rocket Racing, Epic Games is pressing down on the throttle and steering into the skid at supersonic speed.
And with that, comes a bit of Rocket League swazz to start building that bridge, as leaks indicated Neon Nights is expected to light up Fortnite.
Fortnite leakers claim Neon Nights is coming to Rocket Racing
The bridge between Rocket League and Fortnite hasn't come without its fair share of potholes, but heading into Rocket Racing Season 1, Epic looks to be sending out a team of road repair workers.
After leaks indicated that a collaboration is set to arrive in both titles, further reports indicate that Neon Nights is set to be the name of the Rocket Racing season, having already become a beloved part of RL.
The namesake event was also used in Rocket League, which saw a range of LTMs deployed such as Heatseeker Ricochet, alongside Cochise and Grimes music, luminous car customisation features, and more.
Rocket Racing Season 1 set for huge influx of content
Neon Nights is set to bring forth The Mandalorian crossover to both games again and will see more Rocket League content be transferred over to Fortnite.
Most interestingly though, "SamLeaks" claims that there are set to be 10 new maps (one possibly being Star Wars influenced), which will continue to expand to the already large pool of tracks.
All of this comes alongside Season 1's UEFN update that allows for custom map editing in Rocket Racing.
Fortnite and Rocket League might be on track to begin mending their broken relationship, although the latter set of fans just hope their title gets its own love too.
