Google I/O Which is held every year at california, got cancelled this year due to concerns of corona-virus. It was scheduled to take place from this May 12 to May 14. But due to fears of coronavirus google has decided to cancel the event for this year.

Google is said to give $1 million to local businesses and schools for coronavirus protection. Google has started sending out emails to all the attenders that it has cancelled the event for this year. The email states that whoever has purchased ticket for conference will be getting their refund by 13th March into their respective payment method.

The tech giant has said thay it will be looking for other ways to connect to the attenders/developers who were interested in attending the conferrence. This is not the first event which has been cancelled, because after the MWC Barcelona 2020 was cancelled, Game Developer Conference and few other events have also been called off. Now google is expected to do the online streaming of their event and they might also be sharing Android 11 features and the Open Beta 1 too.
