After years of mediocracy in the Call of Duty series, constantly trying to recapture what we did have rather than innovate and push the series to new heights, Black Ops 6 is a new dawn of promise.

Treyarch's upcoming title has been four years in the making, and the developers are finally recreating the entire movement system from the ground up to give Call of Duty a breath of fresh air.

The new approach seems to be a winner with the community, too, as Black Ops 6 is already the most popular CoD of all time.

Black Ops 6 trailer is the most-watched Call of Duty video ever

Despite only being three days old, the Black Ops 6 gameplay reveal trailer has already surpassed 49 million views, making it the most popular Call of Duty reveal ever.

The previous record was held by Infinite Warfare (yep, that stunned us) at 46 million views, which took the series to space for the first time.

Other trailers usually net over 30 million views, with the most recent Modern Warfare 3 hitting 39 million. The iconic Black Ops 2 is also still in the top five most-viewed trailers at 39.5 million.

Of course, there are unofficial CoD videos that have exceeded this figure, what with Eminem's 2014 Survival video that was inspired by Ghosts climbing to over 180 million on his own channel, which will go down as the best music track of the series.

But as far as trailers go, Black Ops 6 has sold us all. Returning characters, omnimovement, beautiful graphics, and promises of completely original content (no remasters at launch except a new Nuketown variant) have fans eating out of Treyarch's palms.

The future is black for Call of Duty, and fans are all aboard for this new journey.
