The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom expansion is coming soon, and fans have a lot of reasons to be excited about it. The Elder Scrolls Online is getting bigger and bigger, with more for players to do and more ways for them to do it.
Necrom takes players back to Morrowind, to discover dark secrets in the City of the Dead, so here is everything you need to know about The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom.

ESO Necrom release date
Click to enlargeLet's begin with the most important detail: when can we play the new expansion? ESO: Necrom is right around the corner, but some fans are going to have to wait a little longer than others. The expansion will be available to everyone this June, but it is coming first to the game on PC and Mac.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is coming to PC and Mac on June 5. Console players will have to wait a bit longer, as the expansion is due to hit PlayStation and Xbox versions on June 20. There are rewards for pre-ordering the expansion, but you will need to act fast to get them all.
Anyone who pre-orders Necrom will get instant access to the Sadrith Mora Spore Steed & Pony pair, plus more items when Necrom launches. That said, the Spore Pony pet is only available for those who pre-order before April 18.

ESO Necrom trailers
Click to enlargeThe Necrom expansion was revealed during the Xbox & Bethesda Dev Direct in January 2023. The announcement came alongside a rundown of what is coming with the new expansion, as well as the game in general.
This reveal came in tandem with two more trailers: a breakdown of the new Arcanist class, and a cinematic trailer setting up the story of the expansion.

ESO Necrom: New content
Click to enlargeThe expansion is still some time away, so we don't know all the details just yet. What we do know, is that this new chapter will take players to Necrom, a city in eastern Morrowind known as the City of the Dead. It is the first time this area has appeared in an Elder Scrolls game since The Elder Scrolls Arena.
While there, players will discover an ancient magical realm called Apocrypha, which will be the basis on which the new Arcanist class is built. This new class uses this Apocrypha magic to cast spells, create tentacles, empower their weapons, and even protect themselves.
There are mysteries involving Daedric princes and apocalyptic calamities that players will have to solve and put right. All while exploring a new location, with towering mushrooms and giant, jagged rocks. All the things we have come to expect from Morrowind.
Necrom will provide players with new companions, new adventures, and new mysteries to unfold. There will be many new challenges, but also plenty of new items to acquire.
