GTA V’s Franklin actor wants IShowSpeed in GTA 6
Rockstar Games' long-running Grand Theft Auto series is no stranger to celebrity cameos, and it looks like things aren't about to change for GTA 6.
Dr. Dre is perhaps the most recent example of real people taking centre stage in the open-world carnage simulator, appearing as himself in GTA Online's Cayo Perico Heist and Contract updates. If Rockstar Games plans to make fun of the current state of the United States, it might as well rope in some big characters to do the messaging for them.
Now, one of the series' most prominent voice actors has an idea of who reflects the manic state of the USA, with one divisive streamer pitched as the perfect addition to the GTA 6 cast.
GTA's Franklin actor wants IShowSpeed in GTA 6
A new clip of a livestream from IShowSpeed has revealed that Franklin actor Shawn Fonteno is calling for the streamer to make an appearance in the upcoming GTA 6.
Livestreaming the voice actor's FaceTime call with the streamer, Fonteno yells, "You should be in GTA 6!" to which Speed responds in typical fashion - "Where y’all at, Rockstar?" He goes on to yell, "Where y’all at? Please!"
IShowSpeed also bellows at Fonteno, claiming to be pretty close with Chop from GTA V, but the less we mention that, the better.
To be fair to the pair, it makes sense. A lot of people can't stand IShowSpeed, but that probably makes him ripe for a cameo in the series. Speed is known for treading the same line of controversy that the game finds itself in instalment after instalment.
Who else is appearing in GTA 6?
Speed's appearance wouldn't be much more shocking than cameos we know about already. It comes after the controversial streamer Adin Ross claims that he's a member of the GTA 6 cast, and we'll see more of his character in the game's next trailer.
Along with Ross is T-Pain, who has teased he will be making an appearance in the game, which forced him to halt playing GTA RP. It's compelling to see who will be showing up in GTA 6, but frankly, anything could happen, and anyone could appear. Who knows, maybe Rockstar will even cave to the demands of the Florida Joker.
