Treyarch teases Black Ops 6 with 'Sally' akimbo pistols in Warzone
After a rough start, Modern Warfare 3 has been a blast for the Call of Duty community. Still, the end of its life cycle is finally on the horizon, and as a result, all eyes are pointing toward the next instalment from Treyarch.
While this hasn't been officially confirmed yet, fans believe it's going to be called Black Ops Gulf War or BO6. A full reveal for the next CoD game is scheduled for the Xbox Digital showcase taking place on June 9, but as the devs aren't willing to wait, they're offering in-game teasers for the community.
This time, it's in the form of a Warzone blueprint that calls back to an iconic set of pistols from Black Ops.
Iconic Black Ops 'Sally' pistols appear as loot in Warzone
Taking to Twitter on May 15, Warzone content creator Oceane shared that they had managed to find the 'Sally' pistols from Black Ops in the Battle Royale loot pool. These come as a blueprint that can be found on the ground on Urzikstan and Rebirth Island, called 'She Never Lets Me Down.'
These were seemingly added out of the blue, and while they're definitely not overpowered, the nostalgia of using a Black Ops weapon has got fans excited.
At first, much of the community assumed that a mistake had been made and that these weapons had been added to the loot pool too early before the official reveal.
However, Treyarch responded to Oceane's tweet with an eyes emoji, which is more or less an indirect confirmation that a Black Ops game is on the way.
How to unlock 'Sally' akimbo blueprint in Warzone
The 'Sally' blueprint that's now part of the Warzone loot can be unlocked and added to your collection if you're capable of putting it to use.
To add the 'She Never Lets Me Down' blueprint to your Gunsmith, you just need to secure a single kill with the akimbo pistols.
If you're looking to do this, we recommend completing the objective on Rebirth Island, as eliminating foes at close range is significantly easier in this location. This is due to the number of enclosed spaces and buildings, as well as the fact that you can respawn.
With Treyarch getting brave with its teasers, be on the lookout for more surprise Black Ops references in both MW3 and Warzone.
