ImperialHal reveals why TSM didn't win Apex Legends ALGS Playoffs
The Split 2 ALGS Playoffs finally concluded on July 16, with DarkZero Esports taking home the trophy as well as the huge prize pool.
As expected, the competition delivered some incredible moments and was action-packed the entire way through. All 40 of the best Apex Legends squads from around the globe did their best, but in the end, there could only be one winner.
Out of all the organisations, TSM were one of the favourites heading into the Playoffs and ended up finishing second. Well, their IGL Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen shed some light on why the team couldn't quite take home the victory after reaching match point.
Why didn't TSM win the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs?
During a recent stream, ImperialHal discussed TSM's performance at the Playoffs and revealed he's happy with their "second place" finish.
Despite being "hella competitive," Hal recognised that they played "pretty damn good." While they made a few wrong decisions, these are only obvious in "hindsight."
Not only that, the TSM IGL pointed out that a lot of enemy squads knew who they were on match point by looking at their skins. As a result of this, foes were targeting them as they knew if TSM won the game, the competition would be over.
A solution to this would be to ban all skins in pro play so every Legend looks the same, but it's unlikely Respawn will ever put this rule in place.
When is the next major ALGS event taking place?
The next major competitive Apex Legends event will be the 2023 ALGS Championship taking place between September 6 to September 10.
With $2 million of prize money at stake, there's guaranteed to be fireworks and it's another chance for Hal and the squad to take home the glory.
If you're interested in attending the event, the ALGS have revealed it's taking place at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, UK.
