The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom expands even further on Breath of the Wild, by taking the player well above and below ground. If you scour underground in the game, you'll find the depths, a dark and cursed area that you need to slowly fill with light, which requires Light Roots.

If you want to know how to get the Apapes Light Root in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so you can begin to light up the area below Central Hyrule, read on.

How do you find the Apapes Light Root?

To find the Apapes Light Root in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you'll need to start by heading to the location shown on the map above. This can be found in the north-east of the Central Hyrule region, between Hyrule Castle and Crenel Hills

After arriving at the location, hug the cliff face next to the lake and jump off. You'll immediately need to use your paraglider, and then aim back toward the cliffs, where you can glide into a cave with a chasm inside.

You'll then want to dive into the chasm, but don't descend all the way down. Once you get closer to the depths, and it begins to get darker, begin paragliding and look toward the north

You should see Apapes Light Root directly ahead, and you'll easily arrive before your stamina arrives. Just interact with the Light Root to illuminate the surrounding area.

Beware of the Blue-White Frox at the bottom of the chasm you just dropped down, as you'll be forced to fight it or run away if you don't glide from high enough.
