Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players might be wondering how to evolve Feebas into Milotic, especially since the launch of The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk DLC.

Getting a Milotic has always required various methods in different games over the years, so it's easy to forget which is right for the current generation. So, let's dive into how to evolve Feebas so you can add a Milotic to your Kitakami Pokedex in the game.

How to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You must trade Feebas to another player whilst holding a Prism Scale to get it to evolve into Milotic in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Trading can easily be done via the Link Trade option in the Poke Portal. It also lets you set a Link Code so you can do this with a specific trainer, allowing you to coordinate a swap-back to have your new Milotic returned to you afterwards.

However, the Link Trade feature in Scarlet & Violet does require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. If you don't have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can still trade your Feebas to evolve them into Milotic locally by using the Union Circle feature which is also in the Poke Portal.

Where can you find a Prism Scale in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC?

You'll be able to find a Prism Scale at the above location at Fellhorn Gorge within Scarlet & Violet's Teal Mask DLC - on the central far-right side of the Kitakami map.

Once you're free to explore Kitakami following the first 10 minutes or so of The Teal Mask DLC, you'll be able to go straight to Fellhorn Gorge and collect your Prism Scale.

Alternatively, you can get a Prism Scale as a reward for catching 140 Pokemon in your Kitakami Pokedex. If you still have some way to go to achieve that goal, then heading to the aforementioned location in Fellhorn Gorge is far easier.

Can you get Dry Poffins in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC?

No, there are no Dry Poffins in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, unfortunately for those who wished to evolve Feebas into Milotic without trading.

It has been easy for players to get confused around this since in past games, like Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you could use Dry Poffins to max out Feebas' Beauty stat and level it up. Be that as it may, such a stat and Poffins themselves do not exist in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

As a result, the only way to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is by trading it whilst holding a Prism Scale.

Is there any other way to get Milotic in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Tera Raids

If you're unable to trade with another player to evolve your Feebas, you can find a Milotic to catch in 5 or 6-Star Tera Raid Battles in The Teal Mask's Kitakami region instead.

You can either interact with the Tera Raid Crystals in Kitakami directly or you can see if there are any Milotic Tera Raids available through the Tera Raid Battle menu in the Poke Portal.

Pokemon HOME

As Milotic is also available in Pokemon GO, you'll also be able to transfer to Scarlet & Violet via Pokemon HOME. You'll also need to use the method on how to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon GO, but you might find it easier than trying to coordinate a trade with another player.
