Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet characters are the heart and soul of any Pokemon game. We are yet to meet many of the characters of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but we can be certain many of the classics will be there like the typical professor, rival, and a gallery of gym leaders to face off against. From what we know so far, here are the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet characters.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters: The Player
We can’t have a Pokemon game without our Pokemon trainer. While the player characters in Pokemon games have always been kids, for once it seems these kids go to school. The trainers we play as in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have so far been shown to be wearing school uniforms and the outfits change depending on the game version, with scarlet or violet shorts and ties. Presumably, like in recent Pokemon games, we will be able to change our looks and outfits.
- Arguably the most important part of any Pokemon game reveal is the new starting Pokemon. See what people are thinking about the new starters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Starting Trio: Toot or Boot?
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters: Supporting Characters
Every Pokemon game has had a cast of supporting characters, and many of those roles have been repeated throughout the series. We have seen that the player character has a home in the game, and that is where we often find the character’s parents, usually just a mother for some reason. Beyond that, we usually have a rival/friend character, someone who goes on a similar adventure to the player.
It’s not a Pokemon game without a Pokemon Professor. Since Professor Oak in the very first generation, there has been a Professor in each main game who helps the player along. We are yet to meet the Professor of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games, but it is a safe bet this character will be revealed before too long
Next, a staple we can safely assume will be returning are the gym leaders. This is usually a colourful bunch of characters, who wear their Pokemon influences on their sleeves. Finally, we need an antagonist. Each generation has a team of ne’er-do-wells harkening back to the originals, Team Rocket. Will we see a similar group in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Here's the entire supporting cast of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet characters:
Arven - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
The quest giver of the "Path of Legends" storyline is also key to the main storyline too. Arven gives players their box legendary and helps players tackle Titan Pokemon.
Brassius - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
A grass-type early-game Gym Leader and arguably the most legendary. This is the man who gave Sudowoodo its long-awaited grass typing, although it's via Tarastalisation.
Clavell - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
Whilst looking like he has something to hide when it comes to the origins of Koridon and Miradon, he's the Academy director. Whilst helpful, he runs a tight ship and makes sure most of the Academy falls in line.
Geeta - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
Geeta is the champion of champions. Serving as the Pokemon League chairwoman, she is the most skilled trainer of all. Well, in the Paldea region anyway.
Grusha - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
This Ice-type Gym Leader used to be a professional snowboarder before becoming a highlight of Glaseado. He's also a bit of a stress head when battles begin to fall out of his favour.

The "Super Charged Streamer" is also known as the Electic-type gym leader Levincia, a giant City. She streams her work as a Gym Leader and is perhaps one of the most relevant Gym Leaders we've had in years.
Jacq - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
Mr Jacq is one of the teachers in the Academy to gain valuable lessons from. He also serves as a players' homeroom teacher (form teacher for those in the UK). He also developed the Rotom Phone Pokedex app and we miss Professor Oak.
Mela - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
Serving as ther boss of Team Stars Fire crew, Mela is known for her Ruthless Aggression when it comes to dealing with issues. She is however very reliable and runs her crew with the devotion of all her grunts.
Nemona - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
Continuing the trends of the friendly rival, Nemona holds a champion Pokemon League rank and is always available to help players. This is a first for the Pokemon Franchise when starting a new game.
Penny - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
An Introvert and a seemingly unsuspecting personality, Penny is in the same class as players. Although, she doesn't attend often, and there are no obvious clues early on in-game as to why. At all.
Professor Sada - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
The Pokemon Scarlet-Exclusive Professor. She's keen on keeping up with the development of Koridon whilst digging deep into the mysteries of the crater at the centre of Paldea.
Professor Turo - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Characters
The Pokemon Violet-Exclusive Professor Turo also takes a keen interest in the development of Meridon. This is the first time players have had version-exclusive Pokemon Professors.
Those are the main Pokemon Scarlet and Violet characters. There are more to meet, but we don't want to spoil the game for readers. For more info on the new games, check out Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Exclusives.
