Mega Apex Legends fan travels 20 days in a row for ALGS Playoffs
The ALGS has a massive community of fans across the globe who are dedicated to their favourite teams and players.
For the Split 2 Playoffs, supporters have embarked on huge journeys just to see the best Apex Legends pros from around the world compete.
Out of all the fans at the event though, no one's journey compares to Wenjie Shi from Shanghai. Instead of taking a plane to London, Wenjie decided to complete a 20-day drive from China to the UK in their Apex-themed car.
We got a chance to sit down with Wenjie to discuss the motivation behind their incredible trip and who they want to take home the crown at Playoffs.
Dedicated Apex fan completes 20-day drive to ALGS Playoffs
On Day 3 of the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs we sat down with Wenjie Shi and a translator to talk about their unbelievable car journey across the world just to reach London for the event.
When asked about their motivation for the journey, Wenjie revealed that "right now is the best time to travel to Europe by car and not only that, I can appreciate some beautiful landscapes on the way."
While it would have been easier to get a plane straight to the UK, Wenjie made it clear they "like challenges and doing something that seems difficult for other people."
On average per day, Wenjie drove between 12 and 14 hours to reach their destination, travelling over 7,000 miles on the road. Although both their favourite teams MDY White & DreamFire have been eliminated from the competition, Wenjie is still loving the event.
There's no denying that completing the trip 20-trip from Shanghai to London in a car is an astounding achievement.
It certainly sets Wenjie apart as a superfan and shows just how much dedication they have for the ALGS as a whole.
