How to get & use Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite
Highlights:
- Knotroot is found only in Grassland caves
- The only product that Knotroot is used for is in crafting Knotroot Rods
As a survival mode, LEGO Fortnite offers a wide range of resources, including Knotroot, which is used when upgrading your Village or to craft higher-tier tools and weapons.
The result is that farming Knotroot is an essential part of the game if you want to improve your defence equipment, but it can only be found at a certain location - so here's where you can obtain it.
Where to get Knotroot
In LEGO Fortnite, Knotroot is only found in Grassland caves. Once you’re inside one, look for the roots that curl around the walls.
You’ll need an Uncommon Axe to chop them down, though, which you can make by upgrading your Crafting Bench. The picture below shows what it is that you're looking for:
Luckily, it isn’t a difficult task to find caves in the game, as they are scattered throughout the game world, and are usually marked with a mountain-looking icon on your map.
Simply head to the more mountainous biomes like snowy areas or deserts, as caves are less likely to be found in grassy areas. Oh, and don't forget to fill your inventory with torches before entering one!
How to use Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite
Knotroot is only used to craft Knotroot Rods, one of the valuable materials in LEGO Fortnite. You have to build a Lumber Mill from the Utility section in your personal build menu to make them.
- A Lumber Mill requires 8x regular wood and 15x granite
- Once you have a Lumber Mill, you can place your Knotroot Wood into the machine to convert it into rods
- Each Knotroot Rod costs 1x Knotroot wood, and the machine takes a few seconds to convert Knotroot into Knotroot Rod
After a few seconds, you'll see the number of Knotroot Rods crafted by the Lumber Mill, where you'll simply collect it from there and use it to craft more advanced structures.
