Call of Duty adds The Boys crossover for Season 4
Prepare for a sprinkle of superpowers being activated around Al Mazra and Vondel in Warzone Season 4, as Call of Duty is charging up a collaboration with Amazon's comic-book-inspired TV series, The Boys.
Despite having faced some trouble this week with their collaborations, specifically that with content creator Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff as his bundle has been axed, Call of Duty is continuing its theme of releasing skins and blueprints alongside some of pop culture's best shows and movies.
Joining that of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Terminator, Attack on Titan, Umbrella Academy, Die Hard (and more) over the last three years, Warzone is now preparing a The Boys collab, which will arrive in Season 4.
Call of Duty tease a The Boys crossover for Season 4
The upcoming season of Call of Duty was unveiled on June 7, and a cinematic trailer for the Warzone Resurgence Vondel map was featured as one of many showcases at the Summer Games Festival.
After showing off the Amsterdam-based Warzone map in all of its colourful glory, eagle-eyed fans noticed that The Boys logo could be spotted on some of the buildings in the final exchanges. It insinuates that the series will be the next blockbuster show to infiltrate Warzone's microtransactions.
With rumours flying around, the official The Boys and Call of Duty Twitter accounts confirmed the collab, exchanging pleasantries on social media.
The Boys' Butcher will get a Call of Duty crossover skin
With The Boys collaboration seemingly solidified, it now seems like Butcher (William Butcher) will be the target of the crossover, featuring his own skin.
The official Call of Duty blog revealed that a Season 4 Operator named "Butch" will arrive as an in-season bundle, with its silhouette being redacted.
It's not yet sure if Butcher will be the only skin to arrive in the crossover or whether some more iconic characters, such as Homelander, Black Noir, or Starlight, will feature as skins too. Either way, The Boys' bloody aesthetic goes hand in hand with the bloodshed of Warzone.
