It's a tale as old as time, but Call of Duty has once again entrusted a partner with some key dates, and once again, they have been leaked by a third party.

Much like the Monster adverts and Doritos wrappers of the last few years, the dates of certain release dates for the upcoming Call of Duty games have been aired ahead of time.

This year, the leaks appear to have sprouted from GAME, as it appears to have printed cards detailing that Black Ops 6 Beta is coming this summer.

GAME leaks claim Black Ops 6 Beta is primed for August

Following the Call of Duty showcase, in which Black Ops 6 was unveiled to the world, Treyarch confirmed that a CoD: Next initiative will be in play again this year. The multiplayer reveal will see hundreds of content creators fly out to Los Angeles to play the game first on August 28.

Coincidentally, GAME's new Black Ops 6 listing card claims that the Beta will run from August 28 - September 3, which activates the same day as the CoD Next showcase.

This follows last year's sentiment, in which the CoD Next showcase spurred on the Beta, giving streamers a few hours of early access before the world and their dog can load up.

For the first time since Betas became a thing for Call of Duty, players will get the same opportunities throughout the test too, having previously seen weekends get split between PlayStation, PC, and Xbox.

Microsoft's new prized possession will see them level the playing field, with the Beta now being open to all platforms throughout the August 28 - September 3 window.

There is a small hitch, though. This Beta window is allegedly the pre-order bonus only, not the fully open Beta in which anyone can play. Instead, you might need to either pre-order Black Ops 6, own Xbox Game Pass, or wait a little bit longer.

Still, we're likely to get more confirmation from Call of Duty in the coming weeks as they'll be sure to let you pre-download the Beta before CoD Next and August 28 rolls around.
