Any player who starts to see the large map in Rise of the Ronin will be thankful to know the method of fast travel isn’t that difficult.

As you progress and want to jump between different regions to take on various missions in the game, you’ll only need to look out for one key mechanic.

How to fast travel in Rise of the Ronin

You’ll be able to fast travel in Rise of the Ronin by using the Veiled Edge Banners - the many points marked with a black flag you’ll find throughout the map, the marker of which is shown in the tutorial image below.

Interacting with each Veiled Banner not only replenishes your health, ammo, and medicine - as well as making defeated enemies reappear - but will let you instantly teleport to one you've already visited.

You'll find numerous Veiled Edge Banners the more you progress in the game, making jumping between parts of the map far easier.

However, using other traversal methods like horse riding and flying with your glider will make travelling across Yokohama and Tokyo easier in the meantime. Personally, I'm a huge fan of using the glider to make my way to mission objectives.

For more on the game, find out just how good it is in my Rise of the Ronin review, its trophy list, and if RotR's actually a Soulslike.
