Whilst exploring the open world in Rise of the Ronin, each region of the map you go to will have a Bond level. The Bond is measured from zero to three, depending on how much exploring you’ve done in the region and any collectables found.

Each section of the map varies in size and scale, and some won’t take long to complete at all. For example, Nakamura is tiny so I got it to 100% in no time. Here’s all you need to know about increasing regional Bond levels in the game

How to 100% a regional Bond

To increase the Bond level in a region you need to fully explore that area of the map, completing every objective and finding every Veiled Edge Banner available.

Here's everything to look out for in each area:

  • Public Order
  • Veiled Edge Banners
  • Fugitive’s found
  • Landmarks
  • Cats
  • Photography
  • Training
  • Treasure Chests
  • Shrines

It’s worth noting any side missions or standard missions do not contribute towards the total Bond.

How to check what's left in an area

Fortunately, finding out what's left to do in a region in Rise of the Ronin is very simple. Follow the steps below to find out how:

  • Go onto the map and hover over the area you wish to check
  • Press Triangle
  • On the right-hand side, a checklist appears of everything you have completed so far and everything that is left to do

The more you do in a region the more icons appear on the map, so once you get things started it snowballs.
