Modern Warfare 3 has truly been Call of Duty's crossover era, with countless celebrities and high-profile franchises making an appearance in the universe.

Whether it's Diablo, Cheech and Chong, the return of Snoop Dogg, The Boys, or even Crash Bandicoot, every single one of them has featured in multiplayer and BR.

Now, Activision is continuing the collaboration spree, this time with a Japanese mecha franchise that's famous across the globe. We're obviously talking about Gundam, and there's almost guaranteed to be a set of flashy and eye-catching skins.

Gundam is coming to MW3 & Warzone in Season 4

Call of Duty Season 4 is bringing Gundam to multiplayer and Battle Royale, so expect mechs to completely take over your lobbies very soon.

Announcing the crossover on Twitter, CoD simply posted a city landscape from the Gundam universe with the shadow of a mech ominously projected against the buildings. This doesn't give us much information to go off, but based on previous collabs, you can almost guarantee a set of cosmetics are on the way.

Expect a giant mech Operator, which is probably going to be a similar size to the Space Marines or Lilith. There's also a chance this sparks another hitbox controversy, as Gundam mechs are unlikely to be small targets.

As for extra gameplay features, the Warhammer collaboration brought a massively popular LTM that the community adored.

Gundam could be the perfect opportunity to release another one of these in the third-person perspective, as Juggermosh was a smash hit for the time it was available.

Another option could be a new futuristic melee weapon for fans to equip, as long as it doesn't completely ruin Rebirth Island as the pre-nerf Tonfa did.

Either way, we'll just have to wait for more details to emerge, but this is certainly an exciting time to be a Call of Duty fan.
