New Damascus Operator is being dubbed Roze 4.0
The grind to get the Damascus camo was arguably the most fun we've had since Modern Warfare was rebooted, and since its release, no weapon skin has come close.
Activision is kicking it up a notch because a leaked Damascus Operator skin appears to be on its way. But whereas Damascus' design is usually somewhat bright, despite the midnight purple base colour, the new Warzone 2 camo has been found to be quite dark. So dark, it's being dubbed Roze 4.0.
New Damascus skin set for Warzone 2
Honestly, we're not sure what version of the infamous Roze skin we're on now, 4.0 seems generous for how many shadow-binders we've had over the last few years. Still, Activision appears to be up to its usual tricks with this one.
A newly leaked camo - which has already been brought into Al Mazrah through an exploit - shows an Operator dressed in a fully Damascus-designed skin-tight jumpsuit. Only recently, the "broken" Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass introduced a whole new Roze.
However, the black accessories on the skin make the Damascus design much darker than it should be, and when appearing in the backdrop of the sun, it looks almost all-black, akin to the original Roze.
Damascus Operator skin dubbed as 'Roze 4.0'
"Roze 4.0 incoming," said one Warzone fan on Twitter. Another said, "[this is] going to be the new TTV/ TikTok skin." The skin looks set to arrive for the Operator Calisto, which does take some form of emphasis out of it being dubbed Roze 4.0.
It's not yet known when this Damascus camo will launch, although we've seen a few camos find their way into the game lately (including brand-new CDL team weapon wraps), which indicates a mighty push of new designs could be just around the corner.
It's not the only skin drama that Activision has found themselves in recently either, as the Call of Duty developers have also been accused of plagiarising themselves with old Warzone 1 skins being added to the sequel - despite the developers discontinuing players' collections when Warzone 2 came out.
