Genshin Impact Release Date
Originally, Genshin Impact was released on mobile, PC and PS4 on September 28, 2020, perfectly timed for those of us wishing to chase away COVID-19 blues and lockdown boredom. Before its launch, HoYoverse gave access to a closed beta to a select few who went on to promote the game and further raise hype in the HoYoverse community.
Since its launch, the game has consistently released updates including new regions, challenges, weapons, events, and characters, keeping fans thoroughly hooked and a stream of new content. The two regions of Mondstadt and Liyue were the only playable areas on launch. Now with Inazuma and the future Sumeru update on the horizon, there is never a lack of content to keep Genshin Impact players occupied. With the Nintendo Switch release soon, it seems as though Genshin Impact is here to stay.
HoYoverse celebrated its first anniversary of the game’s launch with a stream of rewards and events for players. As the second anniversary approaches, check back for details on further celebrations to come.
