If you fancy bestowing your Sims with a touch of lycanthropy (or even removing the Occult state), The Sims 4's Werewolves DLC has plenty of cheats that can speed you through many of its hairy features.
Cheats in this Game Pack allow you to fully customise your experience within the game, giving you options to complete Aspirations with a quick strike of the keyboard, or even adding certain Werewolf-specific traits to your Sims.
Cheats for The Sims 4 Werewolves
If you've decided to turn a non-werewolf Sim into the Occult after creating them in CAS, you can do so by using the first cheat in the table below:
Code | Cheat |
traits.equip_trait trait_occultwerewolf |
Turn your Sim into a werewolf |
traits.remove_trait trait_occultwerewolf |
Turn a Werewolf back into a Sim |
aspirations.complete_current_milestone | Complete the current werewolf aspiration |
stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Werewolf_Progression # |
Gain werewolf XP to unlock abilities |
As with many Occults in The Sims 4, werewolves come with unique abilities that can be unlocked by gaining XP. If you want to blast through your Werewolf Rank to get them quicker, the final cheat above will help you on your way.
When using that cheat, you'll want to replace the hashtag with the amount of XP you wish to add to a Sim's Werewolf Rank.
From my own experience with the cheat, it's worth noting that the number keeps increasing throughout each of a werewolf's ranks instead of resetting at each new level. So while using something like '30' would give you a little bit of experience if you're at Pup rank, doing the same at a higher rank will take you back to Pup.
I've found that entering '3000' took my Sim right up to Apex from the beginning of the Pup rank, so you'll need to play with the code a little to get your own Sim to the place you want them at.
Werewolf trait cheats
New traits also arrived in Werewolves that add specific buffs to your Sim depending on their friendship with other werewolf Sims, whether they come from a family of werewolves, or if they have completed any of the DLC-specific Aspirations.
These can be added to your Sim in a flash by entering your preferred trait from the list below:
Code | Cheat |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_AspirationTraits_BetterFuryControl |
Adds 'Refined Lupine' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_AspirationTraits_BetterTurning | Adds 'Chomp Champion' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_AspirationTraits_FormerLycan | Adds 'Werewolf Ally' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_AspirationTraits_FriendlyWolf | Adds 'Fanged Friend' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_AspirationTraits_MoreFear | Adds 'Threatening Presence trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_DormantWolf | Adds 'Dormant Wolf' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_GreaterWolfBlood | Adds 'Greater Wolf Blood' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_InitiationBonusTrait | Adds 'Lunar Confidant' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPack_FriendA | Adds 'Friend of the Moonwood Collective' trait to your Sim |
traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPack_FriendB | Adds 'Friend of the Wildfangs' trait to your Sim |
These traits can also be removed from your Sim by using the same code, but replacing 'equip' with 'remove'. For example, to remove the 'Friend of the Widfangs' trait, the code would be 'traits.remove_trait trait_WerewolfPack_FriendB'.
Temperament cheats in The Sims 4 Werewolves
Werewolf Temperaments are assigned to your Sim throughout gameplay up to a total of four, and affect how their Fury meter either builds or decreases.
If you want to add a particular one to your Sim after receiving one you either don't like or to aid in storytelling, you can assign them with the following list:
Temperament | Code |
Anti-Capitalist Canine | traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_Temperaments_AntiCapitalistCanine |
Big Bad Wolf | traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_Temperaments_BigBadWolf |

Easy Excitable | traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf_Temperaments_EasyExcitable |

As is the case with traits, these can also be removed by changing 'equip' in any of the above codes to 'remove'.
How to enter & enable cheats
Now that you know all of the lycanthropic cheats available to you, you'll need to know how you can use them!
It's a very simple process if you're new to cheating:
- Press all four shoulder buttons at the same time if you're a PlayStation or Xbox user
- For PC, hold CTRL and Shift, then press C
- Mac is much the same as PC, except you'll hold Command and Shift, then press C
This will then make a white box appear at the top of the screen. In that box, enter 'testingcheats true' pr 'testingcheats on' to enable the use of cheats in the game.
Some mods for The Sims 4, like MC Command Center, negate the need for this cheat entirely, so that's always an option too.
Note that once you use cheats in a save file you'll no longer be able to earn trophies or achievements on your chosen platform for that save file.
