Team Vitality win RLCS World Championships 22-23
After a gruelling, thrilling, legacy-defining season of Rocket League action, Team Vitality has been crowned as the RLCS 2022-23 World Champion, beating Team BDS 4-0 in a spectacle of a Grand Final.
The Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 season has been the most climatic tournament that we've ever seen, with the global outreach completely peaking, the international repertoire growing and birthing so many "minor" region superstars, and break-neck performances from the clear best teams in the world.
With that being said, one team has stood out far above the rest, and Team Vitality has become your RLCS World Champions.
Team Vitality becomes the first two-time World Championship-winning organisation
In the most dominant fashion, Team Vitality dismantled Team BDS 4-0 in the Grand Finals, meaning that they can now sport two stars above their badge as the only organisation ever to win two RLCS World Championships.
Both BDS and Vitality could have donned this accolade, prior to kick-off, but following the success of Season 7, the organisation is now in a league of its own.
The roster also topped off the perfect run since acquiring their breakthrough 16-year-old talent Alexis "zen" Bernier, who has won every event he has played in since becoming eligible for the Spring Split; the World Championship title adds to Vitality's three consecutive Regional wins in Europe and the Spring Split Major.
The feat also comes as an incredible achievement for Head Coach Victor "Ferra" Francal and the playing duo of Andrea "Radosin" Radovanović and Yanis "Alpha54" Champenois, the latter of who has often expressed that this trophy has haunted him by eluding his grasp through the global pandemic era when Vitality was competing at the height of Rocket League and won back-to-back European titles.
