The problem with Amazon dropping all eight episodes of its live-action Fallout series on the same day is that it means the agonising wait until the inevitable Season 2 will be even longer. As soon as the first trailer dropped like a nuke on Fallout fandom, we knew we were in for something special.

At the (fusion) core of Fallout are the three leads of Lucy (Ella Purnell), The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), and Maximus (Aaron Moten). Purnell had already had her breakout in Yellowjackets, while Goggins is a familiar face in everything from The Hateful Eight to Justified. As for Moten, Fallout looks like his big break

Fallout fans want Aaron Moten in the MCU

Fallout is far from Moten's first role, with him appearing in Netflix's Disjointed series and the Will Smith-led Emancipation movie. Still, Fallout saw him step into the Power Armor as Maximus and really flex his acting chops. Aside from our hopes for Fallout Season 2, some have pitched Moten for the world's highest-grossing franchise.

It's no secret that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in a state of flux right now, and if complaints of quantity over quality weren't enough, the franchise recently dropped Jonathan Majors after he was charged with assault and harassment. That presents something of a problem, considering he was playing Kang the Conqueror.

As the MCU continues with its Multiverse Saga, Majors had already played multiple Kang variants and suited up as the big bad of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He'd also had a starring role in Loki Season 2 and was expected to be the big bad of the next two Avengers movies (then titled The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars).

Over on Twitter, there have been numerous calls for Moten to take over from Majors as Kang. One fan cheered, "Watching Fallout and Marvel should make Aaron Moten Kang," while another added, "If Marvel needs a replacement for Kang I would like to nominate Aaron Moten."

Someone else concluded, "Aaron Clifton Moten as Kang the Conqueror 👀🌎 the entire time I was watching the new @falloutonprime, I couldn’t help but think the actor for Maximus would be perfect as Kang. He looks like a young Denzel Washington mixed with Jonathan Majors 🤣"

A 'Majors' problem

The likes of Watchmen's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Atlanta's Lakeith Stanfield, and Fear the Walking Dead's Colman Domingo have all been mentioned as potential replacements for Majors, so could we now see Moten's name thrown into the mix?

We're still not sure where the MCU is heading next, with Disney reportedly changing the name of The Kang Dynasty and currently using the placeholder of Avengers 5. If not sticking with Kang and recasting, there are rumbles that we'll shift to a different villain like Doctor Doom, who is expected to appear in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

Even if Moten doesn't join the MCU as the formidable Kang, the franchise is still expanding at an exponential rate and could easily find a place for him. As Fallout continues to grow in popularity and it looks like we'll be heading to New Vegas in Season 2, we're excited to see Moten's career grow alongside the newly knighted Maximus.
