How to upgrade The Last of Us Part 2 to the Remastered PS5 version
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered has arrived on PS5, but if you already own the game, you'll need to know how to upgrade your old edition. The Remastered version comes with plenty of enhancements taking advantage of the PS5's increased power, DualSense support, and more.
On top of that, it also includes the new Roguelike mode No Return, which sees players take on a challenging run against flurries of enemies and bosses. The new mode will also allow players to take control of characters who have not been playable in the past like Lev and Jesse.

How to upgrade The Last of Us Part 2
Anyone who owns the PS4 version of The Last of Us Part 2 can upgrade to the Remastered version, whether they own it physically or digitally. If you own the game digitally, it's a much simpler task.
You'll find the steps for both methods below:

- On the PlayStation store, Go the the game homepage
- There you'll find an option to upgrade for £10 / $10
- Select this, which will then take you through the regular payment process
- Once paid, you can then start your download
How to upgrade a physical copy
To upgrade a physical copy of the game, you will need to insert your disc into your PS5 before following the steps above.
Once the disc is in, you can download the upgraded version using the same steps for the digital version. Of course, you will always have to insert the disc to play this version, despite the game being a digital download. Your disc acts as a key to unlock the game.
