Whoever comes, he'll kill them, he'll kill them all. To be honest, we're surprised it's taken this long for someone to come up with the idea for a John Wick video game, but there we go. Yes, we know there was John Wick Hex as a tactical RPG. Now, Keanu Reeves' dog-loving assassin could be coming to life in a whole new way.

First shooting up our screens in 2014, director Chad Stahelski unleashed the beast onto Hollywood. The John Wick name has gone on to become a household one, with the movies boasting glitterati like Anjelica Huston, Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry, and more. There are multiple projects in the works, and now, potentially a video game.

Will There Be A John Wick Video Game?

IndieWire reports that Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer is currently optioning pitches for a AAA John Wick game."I don't want to get ahead of myself here, but we believe there is a big triple-A game to be made out of John Wick," cheered Feltheimer. Whether taking the events of the movies as canon or telling a whole new story, we can't wait to put some goons in our crosshairs.

There are any number of ways you can go with a John Wick game, but the obvious idea would be to follow in the footsteps of the Hitman franchise and have Wick accepting missions and taking on the High Table while working out of the Hotel Continental. Others are calling for a May Payne-inspired title and even lobbying for Rockstar to make it.

Of course, Reeves is no stranger to lending his likeness to video games. As well as reprising his role as Neo for The Matrix Awakens, he stuck on some mo-cap to play Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. Despite the game's rocky launch, it's had an unfathomable U-turn and has undoubtedly been helped by having Reeves starring in it.

What's Next For John Wick?

Also in the report, there's an update on the upcoming Len Wiseman spin-off, which is titled Ballerina and will star Ana de Armas. We also know there's a John Wick prequel story that's in the works to flesh out the retired hitman's formative days in The Continental. This sounds like exactly the kind of thing a AAA John Wick game could cover.

If this wasn't enough, John Wick 4 is finally due to hit screens in March 2023. We doubt anything game-related will release before then, but it would be a great time to announce a major project like this. The Wickverse shows no sign of slowing down, and if catapulting Reeves to the top of Hollywood wasn't enough, we could see him reprise his Cyberpunk fame to voice Mr. Wick in a AAA game.
