How many people play XDefiant in 2024? Season 0 player count explained
XDefiant is Ubisoft's attempt at capturing the multiplayer FPS market, and based on the player count after launch, it currently looks like it's succeeding.
The game is your typical free-to-play first-person shooter with a modern military skin, and revolves around factions based on Ubisoft properties like Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, and much more.
While we don't have a whole lot of information on the exact player count right now, we can use the available data to get a picture at how well XDefiant is performing.
How many people have played XDefiant?
According to Insider Gaming, XDefiant managed to reach 7.6 million unique players in the first week of its release, with 3 million of those coming in the first 48 hours.
Click to enlargeThe report also claims the internal goal for the developers was to reach 5 million unique players in the first month, meaning it's already exceeded its targets.
Whether these players will stick around is another question though, as any multiplayer game needs a consistent playerbase to keep it alive.
Do we know the daily player count?
It's still not even been a month since XDefiant launched, so we don't yet have consistent daily player counts or monthly player counts from the usual trackers like ActivePlayer.io.
