Overwatch 2 Roadhog Rework: Is A Roadhog Rework Coming Soon?
Is the promised Overwatch 2 Roadhog rework on the way soon? The launch of Overwatch 2 made some big changes to the game as we know it, but one character stood out as exceedingly powerful. A Roadhog rework has been called for since launch, as he has been a bit too dominant in the meta. Here is everything we know about a potential upcoming Overwatch 2 Roadhog rework.

Overwatch 2 Roadhog Rework: What We Know So Far
As mentioned, Roadhog became a notable issue among the Overwatch 2 community fairly early on. Word reached the developers quickly, as Lead Hero Designer Alec Dawson has spoken openly about the Roadhog situation on social media.
A patch in December was expected to address the issue, but it contained no major changes for Roadhog himself. It did, however, contain buffs for characters that do well against Roadhog, such as Ana.
The reason why Roadhog did not receive any balance changes in the December patch was that the apparent plan is to give Roadhog a "soft rework". So we know a rework of some kind is on the way, but we do not know what it will entail, only that "he is going to get pretty nerfed", as Dawson further elaborated.

Overwatch 2 Roadhog Rework: When Can We Expect It
No specific date has been set for the next update, or when this "soft rework" of Roadhog might happen. That said, when the balance patch on January 5th went out, Game Director Aaron Keller posted the following on Twitter.
As such, we can glean that any planned rework of Roadhog will be in the game by the end of the month. Thankfully, everyone suffering through the tyranny of Roadhog will not have much longer to wait for some respite.
