Junker Queen is the leader of the Junker faction who are based in the Australian outback, ruling over the city of Junkertown. She began as a combatant in the Scrapyard gladiatorial arena, before impressing the residents with her strength, charisma, and combat prowess, leading her to rise to the role of Queen of Junkertown.

She's seen as a very cut-throat leader, with the majority of the city's residents afraid of getting on her bad side, except for Junkrat and Roadhog, who dared to steal from her personal gold vault and blow up her summer shack. This caused them to be exiled from Junkertown, leading them to harbour a vendetta against her that led them to return in an attempt to assassinate her.

Junker Queen has a strong suite of abilities that can deal a lot of damage when effectively combined. She also has a lot of self-heal potential, along with supporting moves to help set up kills for her teammates and shield them with extra health.

Adrenaline Rush (Passive) - Self-heals from all damage over time effects caused by wounds. Many of her abilities can deal wounds to enemies.

Scattergun (Primary Weapon) - The Scattergun is a pump-action shotgun with a magazine size of six, and a very rapid reload speed. It deals 80 damage with close-range body shots, but this falls off from distance due to the spread of the pellets. It also has the ability to headshot which can cause it to decimate enemies quickly.

Jagged Blade - This is a projectile ability that allows you to throw your knife (a.k.a. Gracie) at an enemy, causing 80 damage on impact. Reactivating the ability will allow you to return the knife to your hand, wounding the enemy - which causes a total of 15 damage over time and heals you over time - and also pulling them toward you. It has a cooldown of six seconds, and a passive ability that causes all your melee attacks to wound enemies.

Commanding Shout - This is an area of effect (AoE) ability that increases your health by 200 and allies' health by 100 upon activation, while also increasing movement speed by 30%. It has an 11-second cooldown.

Carnage -  Swing your axe in front of you, hitting enemies for 90 damage and also wounding them for a total of 55 damage over time. This in turn will heal you for 55 HP over time. It has a cooldown of eight seconds.

Rampage (Ultimate) - Charge forward in a straight line, wounding all enemies in your path for 100 damage total, while preventing them from being healed for a short time.

The hardest part of Junker Queen's kit is the Jagged Blade ability. It travels in an arc, and with the mobility of some Overwatch characters, landing it isn't always a simple task. You'll want to practice landing it and getting used to the way it travels when thrown, so you can consistently get off the damage and heal.

The pull ability of Jagged Blade is also extremely useful for displacing enemies and bringing them closer for your team to finish off, especially when they are in positions above you. It doesn't have the longest range pull, so you will need to be closer to enemies to make the most of it yourself, and there are only a few contexts where it will be useful for environment kills. Jagged Blade is also incredible when combined with Carnage, as the total damage of the moves will kill most attack and support characters outright.

Commanding Shout is a good clutch ability to use when you need to escape from a sticky situation, as the extra HP and speed boost can easily give you just what you need to make a last minute escape. It's also an effective way to start team fights when your team are gathered around, so it's always worth using when engaging a control point or pushing to stop the payload.

Junker Queen's kit is best utilised when you are focusing on the enemy supports and damage dealers, and even though you won't always get the last hit, you'll be positioning your team to get the kill.

That's all for our breakdown of Overwatch 2 Junker Queen, and now you know some information about her background, what abilities she can make use of, and tips to help you make the most of her in-game.
