Hogwarts Legacy has 10 player co-op and it's wild
We're gathering our own Dumbledore's Army for Hogwarts Legacy, as the Wizarding World just got a little larger. That's right, Hogwarts Legacy co-op is here... and it's pretty wild.
Since Warner Bros. Interactive revealed Hogwarts Legacy to the world, loyal fans have been spellbound by the potential of an open-world Harry Potter game. Still, there was a tragic twist when the publisher confirmed there will be no Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer.

Does Hogwarts Legacy have co-op?
While developer Avalanche Software sits pretty on Hogwarts Legacy's chart-topping success, impatient players have taken it upon themselves to add multiplayer capabilities. Over on YouTube, The Together Team has shown off its impressive mod.
Running Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer is no mean feat, but with this co-op mod supporting up to 10 players, you can proudly lift the House Cup with your pals.
Almost as soon as the game came out, we reported on Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer, with the ambitious HogWarp project aiming to deliver stable co-op for up to eight players. That's now grown to 10, with some mixed results.
We'll admit it's a little janky right now, with witches and wizards floating in from all over the place, but in terms of potential, you can see where things are heading. Unfortunately, as the mod is currently in development, you can't download it yet.
Players react to Hogwarts Legacy co-op
The reason it was so easy to add multiplayer to Hogwarts Legacy is that the magical outing uses Unreal Engine. It was a simple case of reverse engineering work already done on Stray, and voila, you get a running multiplayer mod for PC.
Other wannabe witches and wizards were equally impressed, as one wrote, "Imagine duelling your friends in this game would be amazing, even just exploration and doing random quests together would be fun , really impressed by the progress you guys have made in such a short time, keep up the great work team."
Another added, "So much potential!! This is crazy I just wanna fly around the castle with my friends… game is literally eye candy," while a third said, "Games are like an empty sandbox. It's the modders who bring the tonka trucks!"
In terms of where things go next, there are numerous calls for Hogwarts Legacy roleplaying servers to capture the magic in a similar way to GTA Online. Even if we might not be getting a live-action series just yet, at least we can look forward to Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer - in its own sort of way.
