Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth hit by weirdest demand for ‘wet’ Cloud
Final Fantasy fans have waited an incredibly long time for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to appear, and they're going to be waiting even longer to see the saga of FF7 remakes come to a close. So, to a certain degree, they've earned their right to complain.
After all, the vast majority of fans love their time with the game, exploring new areas and seeing exactly where the shifting, bizarre timeline will take them. Although their complaints are usually minor, as is the way with gamers, they make it seem like the end of the world.
Now, some disgruntled Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth fans are willing to tear the world apart to see Cloud Strife dripping wet. We promise we're not making it up - 'Wet' Cloud is a genuine fan demand.
Final Fantasy fans want a wet Cloud
We can sympathise, but please, not on the homepage. As fans are practically on the lookout for issues in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth after a critical blast and love from players everywhere, one Final Fantasy die-hard has taken to Twitter to express their frustration with one visual problem.
"I’m ready to quit," says one Twitter user. "This is unacceptable. You jump into a full body of water, and there’s no precipitation on Cloud. Wow, bone dry. It’s PS5 only. It’s 2024."
Fans have pointed out in the replies that the problem is a non-problem and that it really, truly doesn't matter if Cloud's iconic haircut isn't weighed down by smelly lake water, but others have pointed out there may be other motives at play here.
Final Fantasy 7's performance mode isn't exactly up to scratch
Though this seems like a truly redundant issue, other fans have indeed pointed out that in an otherwise water-tight game (pun intended), the game's performance mode isn't perfect - and the FF7 Rebirth team has acknowledged it.
"We've received a lot of feedback on whether the graphics in the performance mode will be improved or not," Director Naoki Hamaguchi says, as reported first by OneMoreGame.
"We have heard from players that in certain situations, the facial lighting makes some character shadows look very scary. So that’s one part of the update that we are working on."
It looks like a new update is on the way to patch up the visual issues, but there’s still a chance we might come away from the game without sopping twinks. Life is so hard.
