Of all the types of Gleeok in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, King Gleeok is perhaps the most formidable, as it's an amalgamation of all the standard Gleeoks with a head for each ability.

There are four King Gleeoks found throughout Hyrule, shown in the below table:

Name Location
Scourge of the Hebra Sky Hebra Sky, close to the Rising Island Chain
Scourge of the Necluda Sky Necluda Sky, close to the Thunderhead Isles
Scourge of the Gerudo Sky Gerudo Sky, close to the West Hyrule Sky Archipelago

As mentioned earlier, the Gleeoks in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have three ferocious heads, the eyes of which make for an appropriate weak point when in battle - so be sure to have plenty of arrows stocked to start shooting them in the eye.

Each Gleeok has a slightly different type, meaning it's also important to dress appropriately and use items that will deliver strong attacks against their typing. For example, when facing off against a Flame Gleeok, be sure to use ice-based attacks, or fuse your weapons with Ice Fruit or White Chuchu Jelly.

Once you have shot each head enough times, the Gleeok will collapse to the floor. While it is stunned, take the opportunity to deal some serious damage with your melee weapons.

It should also be mentioned that if you can use an air current, jump onto it with your Paraglider to not only get a height advantage but also slow things down while firing your arrows for a more accurate shot.

Beating King Gleeoks in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is no easy task, and you'll want to be quick in swapping between your abilities and items to make sure you're most effective against each attack type, as much like the standard Gleeoks, King Gleeok’s weakness is the three heads.

With a head for each of the regular Gleeoks, there is a lot of micromanagement that needs to happen fast. The King Gleeok in The Depths also has the added worry of Gloom, which reduces your maximum hearts during battle. Once again, you’ll have to shoot all three enough times to stun it before going in for the kill.

What are Gleeok in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Gleeok are enormous dragons with three heads that lurk around Hyrule. An older foe from the original Legend of Zelda titles, there are four variants that can be found throughout your adventure:

  • Flame Gleeok
  • Frost Gleeok
  • Thunder Gleeok
  • King Gleeok

Like the Stone Talus, the Gleeok can be found meandering the land and in the skies above, ready to swoop down and attack.

And that’s everything you need to know about finding and defeating all types of Gleeok in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In need of a helping hand? Take a look at all the new Rune Abilities on offer as well.
