You might be wondering what the best locations to farm Zonaite in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are if you're wanting to trade for some crystalised or Zonai charges. The resource is completely new to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, serving as a fragment of an ancient age that has long passed in Hyrule.

While you can naturally pick up Zonaite throughout your travels in the game, there are plenty of times when you will want to have as many in your inventory as possible. Thankfully there are some high-density areas that you can visit, but knowing where to start is another question.

So, check out the rest of this guide below to see all of the best locations to farm Zonaite in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom alongside what you can do with the special resource.

The best spots to farm Zonaite

The best place to farm Zonaite in TOTK is in the Depths, with plenty of Zonaite ore deposits to mine from - although there are a few hot spots that you might want to prioritise first.

Great Abandoned Central Mine

The Great Abandoned Central Mine is a really great spot to try out - especially as it is found just underneath Central Hyrule so is fairly easy to access at the start of the game. Head to the coordinates -0728, -1860, -0503 and there will be some ore deposits for you to mine and also a way for you to use your Zonaite too.

Lindor Canyon Mine

Another great spot is the Lindor Canyon Mine, which is found at the map coordinates -2004, 1310, -0715, which is within the Depths below Hyrule Ridge, just southwest of Tabantha. There is an abundance of ore deposits in this spot, ranging from small individual ones to larger collections that might be better served with a bomb flower.

Korok Grove Encampments

Another great spot is found northwest of Korok Grove in the depths, around the map coordinates 0006, 2521, -0623. This is a wider area as opposed to a single spot, as there are two enemy encampments in close proximity here that are filled to the brim with Zonaite ore deposits.

Furthermore, most of the enemies within this area will also drop Zonaite when they die - especially the collector Bokoblins who have a basket full on their backs. You will need to have decently strong weapons and a fair amount of Hearts to deal with them though, so this isn't the best for the early game.

What is Zonaite used for in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Zonaite in TOTK is used to make Crystallized Charges and Zonai Charges at the various Forge Constructs dotted across Hyrule. You will typically need three Zonaite for each charge, extending to the large variants accordingly too.

This is essential if you're looking to expand the capacity of your Zonai energy well, so you'd better get collecting to ensure that you've picked as many up as possible.

So, that's everything you need to know about Zonaite in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, showing you the best farming locations alongside what to do with it once you've picked it up.
