Cheats in Red Dead Redemption are a throwback to the ways of old when gamers could use cheat codes instead of microtransactions to get extra money and cosmetic items. It features some classic cheats that you would expect from a Rockstar game, allowing you to break it however you see fit.

How to use cheats in Red Dead Redemption
Click to enlargeCheat codes can be activated at any time in Red Dead Redemption. To do so:
- Pause the game
- Go to the 'Options' menu
- Select 'Cheats'
- This will bring up a list of all the cheats you have activated, but if you have not used any cheats, this will be empty
- Press Y/Triangle to bring up the input menu, then enter any code you want from the list above
Once you enter a cheat code, you do not need to enter it again. The cheat menu will save it, and you can toggle the cheat on or off whenever you like. Bear in mind that activating cheats will disable trophies/achievements, so be sure to save your game before you use them.
