Click to enlargeThe Dawnray can be found by fishing the riverways in Bahari Bay. As shown in the image above, these are a few hotspots to look for the fish.
Crucially, the fish will only spawn between the early morning hours of 3 AM to 6 AM. You do not need bait to catch this fish, instead simply cast your rod into the water and wait for a bite.
The Dawnray is classed as uncommon, so it may take 3 to 4 attempts until you can get one to bite.

Click to enlargeThe Dawnray can be sold at the General Store or to Einar for 47 gold or 70 gold if it is a star-quality fish.
As with all fish, it can be displayed as a tank furniture piece in your home if it is a star quality fish and can also be given as a gift NPCS, useful if you have a romance interest in your sights.
The Dawnray is also part of the Flamerod Bundle, one of four bundles within the Vault of the Flames that once completed, will reward the player with the Ancient Rock Garden, where an adorable Kitsuu companion will hang out and leave gifts.
