Banana Guard combos
Banana Guard is very good at juggling, which can be kicked off by using his Banana Slam attack, and followed up with a ground-up attack. You can even continue this by jumping up with the enemy and using your air up or the up special to begin Bananacopter.
Likewise, his ground side blends seamlessly with the side special, letting you charge enemies vertically to push them off the stage.
Banana Guard perks
Perk | Effect |
The Iron Temple | Create a projectile shield around you when working out. |
Icy Tears | Your tears apply the ice status. |
As a Bruiser, Banana Guard is built around dealing lots of damage and getting your enemies to the point that they can be rung out. With this in mind, here are some useful perks to help serve that goal.
Well Rounded is a good start to due to the attacking and defensive boost it provides, while Snowball Effect lets your team deal more damage to the enemy with the highest attacking output.
You can finish off with something like Clear the Air for some utility, as it lets you destroy any projectiles you successfully dodge, and fills that projectile-shaped hole that Banana Guard has in his kit.
